as per our talk on Flightgear chat I promised to open up a thread for coordination and maybe knowledge sharing.
Hans and Timi, let's coordinate a little flight to heights above 10.000ft in the AS350 so that we can learn how to do it in a coordinated and efficient way and of course without deviating from our course too much and without any side effects like extensive yaw and such.
As I am not aware of how to handle the AS350 in these heights and Timi already did it we are asking him to give us a short intro session on how to do it.
For me this week will not work as I am busy but lets talk about next week. I can usually be online after 8pm Berlin time.
Yeah, very much appreciated this
Interesting would be to compare the Lama (which I was actually ALMOST able to land on Mt. Everest) to the AS350 (with which I recently re-tried, even got near the summit and then failed miserably in trying to approach).
Regarding the time: For me it is rather after 09:00 PM Berlin time (the kids.....).
I got to ask a few questions from Didier Delsalle by email some months back and he told me his AS350 was able to hover at 30000 ft. Ours can not. That's why it's impossible to land on the Everest in the sim.
